It was so sweet to watch them. Kaylynn sure has stolen her daddy's heart! We love her so much!
This is what we saw! We drove twenty minutes away for a Sonic that had closed down!!! Oh man did we get a good laugh out of that. I guess this is proof that technology is amazing but it still lacks the ability to think things through! lol
After a little while Kaylynn wanted Grandpa to read with her so he set down his own book and read with Kaylynn. She has so much fun with her Great Grandpa E!
Kaylynn and Uncle Ben looking at the snakes and reptiles cages.
It was crazy to see a leopard so close... there is glass between the leopard and us but it was so neat to get down on the leopard's eye level and it would look right at you as it walked by.
Look at how close the leopard's face is, Kaylynn loved looking at the leopard!
She absolutely loved the small animals, I don't remember what this animal was but Kaylynn had to be dragged from the display because she wanted to stay and play with it.
Nana and Kaylynn looking at some animal.
Family picture with the zebra in the background.
So Kaylynn didn't sleep at all the night before, total we all got about three hours of sleep. Somewhere between the gift shop and the car (which were relatively close together) she fell asleep. The lion she is cuddling with is what she picked from the gift shop.

Say "CHEESE" and then she got distracted and well...
The tunnel rolled and she fell over. At first it caught her by surprise but then she started laughing. She then started to make the tunnel roll over on purpose, she thought it was so funny.

We love that it has the sliding doors on both sides. That will definitely help when we have to fit two carseats in there!
The storage in the back is AMAZING! Sadly enough that is probably one of the most exciting parts about the van for us! We have officially become lame adults! Storage makes us happy! lol
Happy Independence Day! We had a great family day! We went to an awesome park with my extended family for a picnic and Chad BBQ'd for us that evening. We got some fireworks (the kind that don't leave the ground) and set them off before Kaylynn went to bed. She absolutely hated the fireworks! She hid behind my mom's legs and wanted to be in someone's arms! I think they were too loud for her.
The shirt says it all! This is our Miss Independent! She reminds us of this daily so it is only fitting for her to have a shirt to go with the personality!
This was at the family picnic. This park has a fun water park part. It is a pirate theme and you get squirted and sprayed and have water dumped on you. Kaylynn does not appreciate being sprayed at! She lasted about 2 minutes before she was in tears. And like any girl... when life gets you down you eat cookies... and lots of them! This is her examining the sprinkle residue left on her hands from her cookie binge! Later on at home we let her play in her pool while daddy BBQ'd and she loved that! We had a wonderful day and hope that everyone else did too!
Surprisingly enough the hot dogs were fantastic!
There were these HUGE blow up bouncy slides. Kaylynn was too small to do them herself and the adults were too big so she was out of luck. But then we ran into my Aunt who also works at DirecTV and her daughter Sarah was perfectly willing to crawl up and down and through the slides with Kaylynn. This one was a maze before you got to the slide!
Now this just amazes me... if I were with Kaylynn and saw the wall you had to climb to get to the slide I would have told her we were done and had to go back the way we came! Chad even told Sarah that she could just hand us Kaylynn over the wall and Sarah could go down herself, but Sarah was a brave soul! She got both of them up safely without any falls!
Every time Kaylynn was done going down one of the slides she would immediately jump up and want to go again! She really started to wear Sarah out! But she had a blast!
They had an electronic bull there and the people running it let Kaylynn sit on it for a minute. Obviously it was off but she had fun on it.
My brother Ben decided to give the bull a whirl! It was fun to watch... it's a good thing you have something very soft to land on when you fly off of this thing! We had a wonderful time at the BBQ!
So here is the latest pregnant pic of me. Some people are so good about getting a pic taken every month. Mine are a bit more sparatic! lol This is one taken at about 32 weeks. I am feeling gigantic! And summer is hot! But mostly I am just really ready to have Madison here! Kaylynn is getting anxious! She wakes up in the morning and asks where baby Madison is and then gives my tummy a good morning kiss. It is really sweet, but come August poor lil Kaylynn won't know what hit her! It will definitely be a big adjustment for her! She is so very used to being the center of attention.
Kaylynn is officially a fish in water! Nana bought her a lil pool for the backyard! She loves it! Look at how patiently she is waiting while daddy blows the pool up.
She decided that SHE wanted to help fill the pool with water.
A family pic in the lil orange pool... about 5 minutes later we were all wet. Mommy and Daddy were having a splash war and teaching Kaylynn how to splash the other parent. It was a ton of fun although as you can see Mommy is not in proper pool attire!
Kaylynn absolutely loved playing in her pool! This is her relaxing in her warm comfy towel and her lawn chair. I have a feeling we will be using the pool a lot this summer to help cool off in the heat. We took these pictures about a week and a half ago, we had to put the pool up for awhile becuase the backyard got a makeover! There is now a fence and a huge patio and sod where there used to be random areas of dirt and weeds! We still have to put plants in but all the major work is done and we are looking forward to setting the pool back up for some 4th of July fun!
