Like Father, Like Daughter!

Chad and Madison LOVE to take naps together and I can't help but grab the camera when they do becuase it is too adorable!
Now this one is too funny. It's the middle of the night and I had just finished nursing and changing her and went to the bathroom and when I came back Chad was laying right next to her like this. Both completely zonked out!

Sisters!

Kaylynn absolutely adores Madison and wants to hold her and kiss her all the time. It is so precious. When Madison is awake her favorite thing to do is look at Kaylynn, Kaylynn gets right in front of her face and makes silly faces and talks to her. It is so sweet! So these are some pictures of my two beautiful daughters in matching Pooh and Piglet pajamas (Thanks to Nana!).

Madison Emily Fish!!!

Our beautiful baby girl is finally here! The doctor offered to induce on Saturday, August 16th and we jumped at the chance to have Madison here a week early. Next week Chad starts school and his coaching job started this week. So life is a bit hectic but we are extremely happy. We got to the hospital at about 7 am. At 8 am they started the pitocin drip. And Madison Emily Fish was born at 1:08 pm!!! We are so blessed! The parents to be on their way to the hospital!

Sidewalk Chalk...SO FUN!

It was a beautiful morning. Nana and Daddy were working in the yard. So I took Kaylynn out to play. This is the first time she has had a lot of room to play with sidewalk chalk. She absolutely loved it! We had so much fun together!

Hmm... maybe we have a budding artist among us!
We decided to write Papa a message on the patio! We printed the pics out and sent them to him. Kaylynn sure loves her Papa.

Grumpy meets Grumpy!

My dad has a thing for Grumpy and loves all things Grumpy. He says he is grumpy so why not show it! Well Kaylynn found my dad's HUGE Grumpy and he is now a good friend of hers. She carries him around and reads him books and gives him lots of love. So here are some picture of Kaylyn and one of her new friends!

Kaylynn's First Haircut!!!

When Kaylynn was about 6 months old I cut a tiny bit off the top of her hair to make it match the rest of her cute almost bald head! lol But this was her first REAL haircut! Our friend Cami did the honors. Kaylynn absolutely loved it. She is still talking about how she got her hair cut at her friend Cami's house! She sat really still and did great!
This is the before. We didn't take much off, it was mostly to make it look less scraggly at the bottom.

Cami didn't want me to get her in any of the pics but I couldn't help it!
When we got home she ran into her daddy's arms so excited to show him her haircut! It doesn't look as scraggly now and it is actually curling better at the bottom!
I was about to put the camera away and Kaylynn said, "Take a picture of me wif my daddy!" So how could I resist! It is such a great picture of the two of them!

Cute Moment with Kaylynn!

So everyone who is a parent knows how challenging it can be. With parenting, some days are definitely better than others. But every once in awhile you get a little reward... During dinner tonight Kaylynn looked up at me and said very matter of factly, "You make me happy mommy." and then she smiled and continued to eat her spaghetti. How incredibly sweet is that! I need to remember that moment when I have a rough day. Every moment of being a mommy really is worth it!

Super Yummy Cheesecake Recipe

Last night we had some friends over for games and dessert. I decided to attempt a cheesecake and it turned out great! It was super easy and super yummy! So I thought I would share it with everyone. The recipe comes from the Easy-to-Bake Cookbook.

Easy Chocolate Lover's Cheesepie

Ingredients:
3 packages cream cheese softened
3/4 C sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 C Hershey's mini chocolate chips (12 oz bag)
1 extra serving size graham cracker crust (9 oz)

Instructions:
1. Heat oven to 450 degrees
2. Beat cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Stir in 1 and 2/3 C small chocolate chips; pour into crust.
3. Bake 10 minutes. Without opening oven door, reduce temp to 250 degrees continue baking for 30 min. or until set. Remove from oven and set on a wire rack. Cool completely. Cover, refridgerate until thoroughly chilled.

So if you decide to take a cheesecake cooking adventure... have fun!
