Our Utah Trip!

Well my brother graduated from BYU and we went down to celebrate with him.  By we I mean my mom, the girls and I.  Chad had to stay home because of classes and work.  We sure missed him! But nonetheless we had a fun "all girl-no boy roadtrip!" (that is what we called it to get Kaylynn excited and not be too sad about leaving daddy behind...my girls adore their daddy!)
Our first pit stop.  The girls did really good on the ride down!  Kaylynn likes to pretend to drive!
Kaylynn had fun watching movies, coloring and playing with some fun toys!
I am really proud of this shot, I was in the front passenger seat and Madison is behind the driver's seat.  I held the camera above her and actually got her in the picture without looking! lol Notice the piece of cereal stuck to her chin! lol She had fun eating and playing with toys!
We stayed with my Uncle Brent.  Their hospitality was amazing! They even put Kaylynn to work.  She picked dandilions for 2 cents a flower! lol My cousin Yvette helped Kaylynn.
She earned 34 cents! Woohooo!
Kaylynn and Madison had so much fun hanging out with my cousin Sarah and my cousins little boy Cowen.  So cute! (I was changing Madison's pants and they all had to be by her! haha)
Ben! The graduate himself (I don't have any pics of the graduation...I was keeping track of kids and manning the video camera.)  This is him with his girlfriend, Megan.  She is a total sweetheart and we really enjoyed getting to know her! What a cute couple!
Papa LOVES his granddaughters! Here he is playing one of Madison's favorite games! I swear she would live upside down if the blood rushing to her head never got to her!

My Very First...

Digital Scrapbook page!!! (notice I said page...not spread).  I am still getting used to it and it took forever! I am hoping it will get easier the more I do it.  And the best part is I did it for FREE! We already have Photoshop and a friend told me about a great website that you can dowload pages and tons of fun things for free, www.shabbyprincess.com!  So all I have to do is pay for printing (Costco prints in 12X12!!!) And now instead of creating duplicate pages for me and for my girls scrapbooks I can just print 2 pages!  I am excited about this new adventure! I decided to kind of do it backwards and work from my most recent pictures to the least recent! Wish me luck! (and thanks Katie for all your help!)

Eggs!

Madison's first Easter was so much fun! She is so stinkin' cute I can hardly stand it! I am counting these as her 8 month pictures because she is turning 8 months this week! She is getting so big!

Sometimes it's just more fun to wear the headband as a bowtie! woohoo! lol
She learned how to clap last week and does it every chance she gets!

Easter!

We had a fabulous Easter! We got up and ready(early...8:30 am church!) and came down to see what the easter bunny had brought by.  Then we went to church, took a nap (well the kids did, the adults weren't that lucky!) did an Easter egg hunt in the backyard, ate a delicious ham dinner, had our Easter bunny cake for desert, dyed Easter eggs, took pictures of Madison(that post will come in a day or two...stay tuned, it's worth it!) and then got ready for bed, phew what a wonderful day!

Oops it spilled.  What are you lookin at? I'm taking care of it!

Our Easter Bunny cake! Super fun and super easy! If you want to know how just let me know!
We did our egg hunt in the backyard because the weather was gorgeous!
Mama and Madison hanging out, she loved watching Kaylynn run around and get all the eggs!

We hope everyone had a fabulous Easter today and remembered to not get too caught up in the hubub of eggs and bunnies but remembered that our Lord, Savior and Redeemer gave his life for us to be able to live with our Heavenly Father again.  We owe Him everything, so let's do some good with our lives. It's the only way to even make a small dent in our debt to Him.  The tomb was empty, He is Risen!  We know that God lives!

Easter Egg Brunch at our Church!

Our ward had an Easter Egg hunt and brunch! It was very cold! But also very fun!

Look at her li'l red nose!

The Zoo!

We weren't abe to go to the Eggstravaganza at the Zoo last week so we went yesterday.  We had so much fun and were able to check out the new Africa exhibit which was great! Kaylynn was exstatic to see the lions and giraffes!
Kaylynn adores Madison! They are BEST buds!
We were checking out the Bald Eagles

The mama lion got so close to Kaylynn and she thought it was so cool and kept calling the lion to come back! She also made sure to tell each animal goodbye when we moved on to a new exhibit!

The new Africa exhibit had a huge murial of Africa, Mauritius was even on there, so this is for you Uncle Ben! (his mission!)

Kaylynn...America's Next Top Model!

Probably not...she doesn't sit still long enough to get really good pictures.  Not to mention her recent aversion to having her picture  taken.  But I bribed her with chocolate pudding and was able to snap a very few quick shots of her.  This was the best I got.

I am always up for trying something new...

ONCE! HaHa, no I am kidding!  I was visiting a friend the other day who is very talented with a sewing machine and it got me on an "I want to sew although I have no talent in that department whatsoever" mode.  She makes fabulous bags/diaper bags... no seriously... check it out!
Anyway, I digress... So today I went to the fabric store and picked up some fabric to make a hobo bag.  I found a free pattern and istructions online a few months ago and have wanted to attempt it but have never been brave enough to try.  Well I finally got brave and here are the results!

I absolutely love it! Although I could name about 10 things I did wrong!  I got very creative at one point because I didn't want to undo an entire seam! haha  If you want to make your own hobo bag you can go to www.jcarolinecreative.com  in the "how to's" section!
