We are in need of a house...and a dog...apparently!

So this morning at breakfast Kaylynn announced, "I want a Dog!" to which I replied, "Sweetheart we live with Nana and dogs make her sneeze." She thought about it for a moment and then said, very matter of factly "We need a house AND a DOG!!!"  I laughed SO hard and then asked her how we were going to get a house.  She said, "We will get wood and paint and a paint brush."  I asked "Won't we need a hammer and nails too?" "No, the sea horse will take care of that!" (sidenote: Madison has a sea horse rattle that Kaylynn loves to play with...I think this is what she is referencing to.  But she is 3 with a very active imagination so one can never be sure!) So I hope that brought a smile to your face, it sure made my day a little brighter! 

Look Who is Seven Months Old!!!

Madison is such a fun baby! The last 7 months have flown! She is such a funny girl.  She smiles at everyone and has the cutest giggle.  She will randomly lay her head on your shoulder for a cuddle.  She thinks her sister is just about the coolest thing in the whole world.  She is a great sleeper and an even better eater!  She plays with her toes while she lays on her back (I love it when babies do that!).  She can raspberry better than anyone I have ever known, seriously the drool just flows down her chin and soaks her shirt! She loves it! We love her so much!  Here are a few pics I took of her on her 7 month birthday!

Gone are the days...

where I could lay Madison down and she would stay put! I laid her down under her aquirium play toy with her feet toward the wall and her head toward the room.  Through a series of rolls, leg kicking and shaking she moved from under the toy turned around and traveled a good 3 feet toward the swing.  Then she got somewhat stuck there and decided to "taste" the swing legs!

Planting Fruit Trees

Actually Chad and my mom planted the fruit trees but the girls and I also went outside to play for a little while.  

Madison loved watching the bubbles float by!  Such cuties!

Movie Night!

I am playing catch up! A few weeks ago we let Madison "cry it out" but Kaylynn and Madison share a room so we decided to let Kaylynn stay up late and we watched Tarzan together!  It was so fun, we piled blankets on the floor and got our pillows out.  We wore our PJ's and ate Kettle Korn.  It was a very fun night! And Madison didn't even cry for very long and now we are proud to say that for naps and night time we put Madison in her crib completely awake and she puts herself to sleep! YAY!

Some Monday Night Family Fun!

We are notoriously awful at holding a family night once a week.  So a friend suggested an FHE box.  So for Family Night we made our FHE box!

Kaylynn is a fabulous painter! She concentrated so hard on making it beautiful!

This is what Madison did while we painted.  Blowing bubbles and raspberries!

We put the girls' handprints on the box...so sweet!

TA-DA!  We then put ideas for Family Nights on pieces of paper and filled the box with them.  Now every Monday at the end of FHE we pick a piece of paper and we have the topic for the next week.  This has helped keep us doing it every Monday.

Splish Splash!

Madison has graduated from the baby bath tub into the big one with her sister! 

Madison loves to watch Kaylynn almost as much as Kaylynn loves to perform for Madison! So bathtime was interesting! It is so nice to be able to wash them at the same time!
