Pigtails, Packing and a Puppy

I just love my girls, I know I am totally biassed but I think they are the two cutest things ever!  June 10th was a pretty big day, at least to me, Madison's hair was finally long enough to do something with! Wohoo, I have been waiting way too long (she's almost 2!).  She has practically nothing on top and it was getting kind of long in the back, I have been lovingly calling it the baby mullet!

I had to do the pigtails super loose so she wouldn't scream, seriously if you have heard her scream you know she has a SERIOUS pair of lungs!
This girl NEVER sits still, ever... so the only way to get her to sit still and be distracted enough to let me play with her hair was simple, a cup and some running water!
Now I can't have this post be just about Madison.  Here is Kaylynn rockin her pigtails on the same day.  Kaylynn has been on an animal kick lately and woke up that morning with a case of "the barks".  She wouldn't use real words because she was a puppy and she ruffed and barked her way through the morning.  It was a hoot!
Kaylynn in her dog house, lucky girl, we have tons of boxes to hang out in right now.  I really love her sweet imagination!  What fun girls I have!!!  Alright, I better get back to packing now, I am running out of ways to avoid it!

Carrie Underwood=Amazing!

For Mother's Day Chad bought me a ticket to go with my mom to see Carrie Underwood on
June 1st. It was amazing. We had a great time and if you ever get the chance to see Carrie in concert it is well worth the money. She performs with everything she's got, she must be thoroughly exhausted after each show!
Mom and I before the show started. We had really good seats, off to the side and super close. Although Carrie performed to the center a lot so we mostly saw her profile.
Sons of Sylvia opened for her, they are incredibly talented. Craig Morgan also opened for the, he is absolutely hilarious!

Sunglasses, Bubbles and Friends!

She is just so stinkin' cute!
For Memorial Day we had our friends the Huffs over for a BBQ and the kids had some fun with the bubbbles!
Chad showed the kids how to run with the bubble wand to make the bubbles.

Madison's favorite backyard activity.  Walking barefoot in the rocks...she never cringes or anything and this kid will run across them.  Those are some seriously tough feet!
We had a fabulous Memorial Day!

Preschool is at Pizza Hut!

Well, sadly enough preschool has come to an end.  Two of the kiddos are off to Kindergarten! So as a last field trip together we all went to Pizza Hut and learned how they make their pizzas and got to make our own and eat them in the restaurant! So fun!
The kids on the tour
Kaylynn loved making her own pizza and putting whatever she wanted on it!
Madison even got in on the action! (I was holding her so she could reach, thus the crazy angle!)
Patiently (and I mean patiently!) waiting for their pizzas to cook.
YUM!
We have truly loved our preschool group, it has been a great two years!

How I got through this semester...

I have had a lot of people ask me how I "do" school with two young kiddos.
Here's the answer:
Don't worry, we are making up all that time in front of the TV by being outside a ton, well as much as possible.  This weather is driving us all nuts! Can somone please tell the weather it is JUNE!

Kaylynn's birthday present for Mommy!

This is the sweetest girl in the whole world! When she woke up she told me she had a present for me that she did last night in her bed and that she would tell me at breakfast.  So we are sitting at the table and she tells me, "I was trying to get the crickets to sing to you while you goed to sleep last night. (sigh) But the crickets had a hard time doing it."
That's the sweetest birthday present ever! (and to top it off, so far today she has had her "listening ears" on!) yay!
I have a ton of posts to do, but it's my birthday and I totally plan on relaxing during their naptime today.  I just had to post this conversation before I forgot it!  So cute!
