How many adults does it take?

The night before Kaylynn's third birthday Chad was studying for his last final.  And my mom, dad and I were making it rather difficult because we were trying to build the dollhouse my parents got for Kaylynn!

The Girls Checkups

So I know that I have yet to post Kaylynn's birthday, Christmas and New Years but this post didn't require downloading pictures so it gets to go first! We took the girls in for their 3 year and 4 month checkups.  They are healthy and doing great!  These two girls could not be more different, I have to wonder if they share any genes at all! lol  Kaylynn is still small.  She weighs 32 pounds and is 36 inches tall which puts her in the 25th percentile in both height and weight.  Madison weighs 14 pounds and 7 ounces and is 26 inches tall, that makes her in the 75th percentile for height and 50th percentile for wieght.  And her head has caught up to the rest of her body at the 45th percentile.  Madison has a tooth about to come in!  But Kaylynn didn't get her first tooth until she was 10 months old! Kaylynn has a lot of my personality (we are both a little bit more high maintenace) and Madison is so much like her daddy (very laid back, go with the flow).  But they are both beautiful precious girls!

Papa Comes Home!!!

Papa is home! Well for 18 days and then he is off to Afghanistan again.  We have had so much fun with him!  He has to go back in two days and we are all bummed about it! (side note:  This is why I haven't blogged for a while and why I am now playing catch up!)  We have done some fun things together but mostly we have just enjoyed hanging out at home! We can't wait for him to come home permanently!

Five years ago...

Who knew that five years ago (Dec. 5, 2003) when Chad and Becca went on their first date that it would be that last time they would ever think of being with anyone else! To commemorate our Five year anniversary of our first date we went to Build a Bear and made Christmas bears for our family.  They even sing Jingle Bell Rock.  We had fun just acting like kids again.

Five years and two kids later we can't imagine life being any different.  We love being together and we just adore our little girls.  Chad, thanks for asking me out and then later for asking me to marry you!   I love you with all my heart and I thank Heavenly Father every night for such an amazing husband!

So after all the pics from Arizona I realized that I failed to put in one of the funniest stories.  Let me paint you a picture: The women are cooking Thanksgiving dinner, the men are "watching" the kids.  I bet you can see where I am going with this... actually why don't you just take a look.

They found this...

Oh yes! They found Sadie's play make up cell phone and well... they applied it liberally... all over their bodies!!!  This is what happens when daddies watch football!  Their belly buttons were blue for like three weeks! And Kaylynn's shirt was ruined...it never washed out!
