Unavoidable Future Weddings

A couple of weeks ago Kaylynn and I were looking through Chad and I's Wedding photo album.  We were having a good time, Kaylynn kept telling me that I looked like a princess and that my dress was absolutely beautiful (yep, I was feeling pretty good about myself!) She then asked me the sweetest little series of questions,"Mommy do you still have your pretty dress?" Me: "Yes I do, why?" K: " Can I wear it for my wedding when I go to the Temple?" Me: "Of course you can, but if you want to wear a different dress that will be okay too."  K "Can I see your dress?"  I got it out for her to look at and then she asked to try it on.
Madison really loved how it felt under her feet and walked on the train almost the whole time Kaylynn was wearing my dress...so naturally I stuck her in it too and well, she had a very different reaction than Kaylynn.
Yep, that was the look on her face the instant I put her in it and it stayed that way until I got her back out!
This is what you do with a veil when you don't have any hair to put it in! All in all it was a very fun afternoon with my girls!

Hehe, I am usually more organized than this...

That has been my theme sentence this semester...I have forgotten to turn in multiple assignments and have had to email them to my professors with the line, "I'm so sorry, I'm usually more organized than this."  Well now my blog is getting it! lol These pictures were from before Valentine's Day.  Our ward holds a huge Valentine's Ball for the primary every year.  Chad thinks this is ironic because as a church we don't like to have children younger than 14 go to dances... And Kaylynn did dance the whole time and with boys too (cringe).  She loved it! Madison did too, most of the times she was out on the dance floor way far away from us turning in circles (her form of dancing) and watching all the kids around her.  My favorite moment was when Kaylynn got asked to dance by a boy and then 30 seconds later her best friend Kate walked over and demanded that Kaylynn dance with her, Kaylynn kindly told the boy that MAYBE she would dance with him later but that Kate was her best friend and she would dance with Kate now.  Good girl, friends before boys!!! Seriously the funniest thing I have ever seen!
All dressed up and ready to party!

8x10 adventures

I don't know why but I get such a kick out of this:  I printed this at Walgreen's during their free 8X10 deal and went to pick it up yesterday.  The cashier pulled it out and said, "It looks like we have a copyright issue, can you tell me who took this picture?" Me: "Well it was me or my husband, I don't remember which though. See those are the stairs in our home." Cashier, "Really? Wow they posed good for you" Me "Yeah, that never happens, which is why I wanted it printed big! hehe"  She hands me the picture and sure enough on the envelope it has  "Copyright???" written on it.  Yep, we are just that good! lol

I found this great tutorial online to do this (you know you are addicted to craft blogs when you have NO clue which one it came from) and it was SO easy and SO fun! I did it in Photoshop and it took just a couple of minutes! (This one was printed at Costco and there was NO mention of copyright issues, go figure! hehe, although I do have the copyright for the photo)  If I remember which blog it was I will let ya know!
