Ben and Megan's Reception!

Their reception was the day after their wedding. They had it at Megan's parents' house, it was beautiful! There was a band and the most fabulous mexican food ever! We had a blast!

Some of my cousins live about an hour away from Megan's home. Matt was able to come for the reception! I haven't see him in years, it was great to see him and catch up!

I only got one dance from Chad that night, but it was one dance more than he said he would give me...so I'll take it! lol

Kaylynn LOVES to dance, she asked just about everyone she could think of to dance. My grandma is pulling double duty with Madison too!

This is Lauren, one of the bridesmaids. Lauren watched Kaylynn and Madison for us while we were in the Temple and from that moment on they were best buds! We even got to take Lauren to the airport (her flight left half an hour before ours!) Kaylynn is still talking about her friend Lauren!

Ben and Megan's Wedding!

On August 7, 2009 Ben and Megan were sealed in the Oakland Temple. It was a beautiful sealing and a gorgeous day! We are so excited to have Megan as a member of our family! If you ask Kaylynn, she will tell you that we went on "dacation" to see Megan's wedding. I guess Ben was just a by product of Megan's wedding! lol

We Interrupt Your Cali Program...

So, let me start by saying I like to think of myself as an organized person. I am on my hubby's computer and I decide to look through his Pictures and I stumble upon these beauties. I am caught up in the fun memories as I look at the adorable kiddos when suddenly it hits me. I never blogged about our Fourth of July!!! And since I am mostly doing this for journeling purposes I had to post this immediately! So even though I am in the middle of posting all of our California pics (which by the way the fact that this post is in the middle of those ones is probably going to bother me for a while :) ) Here are some fun pics from our Fourth. We had a huge party at our house as a celebration of not only the freedom in which we live but also as a retirement party for my dad who has served 22 years in the Army.

Trip to Cali...Part 2

Our second day in California we went to the Monterray Bay Aquiarium. It was so fun!

I don't even remember what is in this globe thing but obviously Madison thought it was fun!

There was a tunnel filled with little fish tanks and Kaylynn went through it a few times. This one is her with the Nemo fishes!

There is a whole section devoted to sea horses, it was pretty cool! I don't have a picture of this but Kaylynn's main priority was to see the "Super Scary Sharks"(her words not mine!) and when describing the Hammerhead sharks she puts her hands up on the side of her head to look like it!haha!

Our attempt at a family picture on the beach right outside the aquirium. Obviously Madison has her objections! She really loved the ocean, she laughed when the waves came up around her legs. Then we took her away from it and tried to make her sit on mommy's lap...thus the crying!

So we tried this, you can't see it but the waves are coming up around her and my mom was standing on a rock in the middle of it! haha

Trip To Cali...Part 1

We had a fabulous vacation in California August 4-9! We went mainly for my brother's wedding but also decided to go do some fun things!

This is Madison on the Shuttle Bus on the way to pick up our rental car!
Ben's fiance's (now wife!) family was very gracious and let us stay in their pool house. So our first day there was spent in the pool and then later we went to Santa Cruz. Kaylynn turned into a lil fish while we were there, seriously! She absolutely loved the pool and got quite brave (almost too brave) by the end!
We started swimming while Madison took a nap and she woke up part way through so I got her in her swimsuit and brought her out, stuck her in her floatie and within minutes she was fast asleep! haha!
She woke up and had some fun a little while later!
Our first night we went to Santa Cruz to the board walk. It was a blast! It's like a fair, tons of rides and even a roller coaster (it was awesome!).
Kaylynn had a blast and was so brave! I wasn't sure if she was going to want to ride anything by herself but she just jumped right in!
