Chuc Mung Nam Moi!

If you didn't understand the post title, it's probably because you don't speak Vietnamese! lol We celebrated the Chinese New Year with an ao dai (Kaylynn's outfit) and a fabulous party at our friends, the Garrett's, house! We had Chinese Sundae's (just like Hawaiin Haystacks).  It was super yummy! We ate and chatted and the kids watercolored.  Suzy is so brave! It was a blast!  While at the party Kaylynn came up to me with a toy that looked like a Weeble (ya know, Weebles wobble but they won't fall down) So I told her to set it down and see if it will fall down.  She walks over and sets it on the kids size picnic table and whacks it as hard as she can and exclaims "It DOES fall down!!!!" HA! What a hoot!

Look at the Snow! What should we do? SLED!

We went sledding!  There was enough snow and there are these tiny hills in our neighborhood so we bundled up the girls and headed off to the hills via wagon and walking!  This was the first time Kaylynn went sledding.  She had so much fun and didn't want to go home! We had to bribe her with Hot Cocoa!
Getting ready for the walk/wagon ride to the tiny hills.

Her first and only crash!  As you can see, she was having a blast!
I love this! This is how she got the sled back up the hill!
The look says it all!
Our girls!
Chad biffed it while holding the baby! tsk tsk! At least he landed on his bottom so Madison had no clue they fell.

Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam!!!

I can't even believe that my little Kaylynn is officially in PRIMARY!!!! I actually had a harder time with her first day as a Sunbeam then a I did with her first day of nursery! All that kept going through my head that day was, oh no, we are one step closer to Kindergarten! AHH!  But Kaylynn absolutely LOVES it! She ran right up and sat down with her class and said bye to me.  I feel so unneeded! lol.  And a few times randomly during the week she says, "My teachers name is Sister Pruett!  And I like her!"  I am grateful that she has a loving teacher in Primary!
Isn't she so cute!  This is Kaylynn on her first day of Primary.

Bitsy Bows!

I have been making bows for my lil girls for a while now and 2 little girls only need so many bows before they start to take over the bathroom! So I decided to keep making bows (because I LOVE doing it!) and I thought why not set up a blog and sell them! So please check out my bow blog! And feel free to give the web address to anyone you think might be interested!

Welcoming in 2009!

We had a fabulous New Year's Eve! That evening we had a couple of friends over for some fun!  About 8:30 everyone went home to put their kiddos to bed and we put Kaylynn and Madison to sleep as well.  Then we had a quiet evening and watched a movie.  I organized my ribbon bucket(for the bows I make) and then about 11:45pm I went upstairs to get something and I heard something from Kaylynn's room.  I went in to see what was going on and she had her light on and was playing with her baby dolls! What a stinker! So we brought her down to ring in the New Year with us!

Some of the girls playing at the party.  They are all quite the lil Mamas!
Aaron was a hoot! One of his favorite things to do that night was sit in Madison's bumbo seat!
We played the Wii.   We had a great night and we feel very blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is such a fun day! Filled with love, family and laughter! Here are some of the highlights!
Don't they look stunning!  These are So gonna be the next big thing in fashion! These are called Shurpa hats ( I may be butchering the spelling on that one!) My dad brought them back from Afghanistan for the guys! I got a beautiful rug and the girls and I also got shawl type things! (the name is not coming to mind, I am tired, let this be a lesson to you... do not blog when feeling drowsy... nope still can't remember what they are called.  But they are beautiful! And the girls got purses (or Pursi if you ask my dad lol).
Madison really loved her Eeyore! He's so soft!
Kaylynn tickling Nana with her stuffed elephant.  His name is Horton... she loves the movie!
This is what Kaylynn and Madison got for Papa! He loves all things Grumpy and they make quite the pair, Grumpy and my dad!
We got Madison a Bumbo (literally a foam seat!) And she loves it!!!
Kaylynn had quite a haul by the time the unwrapping was done.  At one point she got so overwhelmed she didn't want to open any more presents!  She still had about ten left.  I think about 2 hours later she finally decided to finish unwrapping.  She got a Tinkerbell doll from Santa.  She also got a princess dress up trunk with tons of stuff in it (notice the dress, throughout the day she changed her outfit about 9 times) She got a doll play set with a bouncer, carseat, stroller, etc.  She got barbies for her dollhouse... really it's a lot to list so just stare at the picture and take it all in!  She had a fabulous Christmas! So fabulous that she still talks about Santa on a daily basis!
Madison also claimed quite a haul! She had so much fun unwrapping presents.  She was actually trying to tear the paper off.  She was fascinated by that magical ripping sound! She got a Bumbo seat, a gloworm (does that take you back?), a Cabbage Patch doll (seriously... you are on memory lane right now huh!).  And again...stare at the picture and take all of it in because I don't want to list it all!

It was a wonderful day full of fun!  Chad and I got a Wii Fit (about two weeks later, they were hard to find for a while).  We got some camera equipment and we still have some cash that needs to be spent! And most of all we loved having my dad home for a little bit.  He is back in Afghanistan and is doing okay.  He is looking forward to coming home in March! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas too!  I know this post is a month late but please take a moment to remember our Savior, whom without we would be at a total loss.  He is our Redeemer and I hope we can all keep the spirit of Christmas alive throughout the year!

Christmas Eve

Kaylynn got a present early (because Nana didn't want to attempt to wrap it! lol and we need it for the family Christmas Eve party we were hosting)
The shirt says it all!  "All Mommy wants for Christmas is a Silent Night"
My two little darlings on Christmas Eve.  I wanted to post pictures from the Family party but the External Harddrive (Passport) and I are currently battling head to head and unfortunately I am losing.  It has decided to hold certain picures hostage for reasons I am unaware of.  Oh and I had some good ones! Like my Uncle attempting to draw The little drummer boy in pictionary.  It has the male and female symbol and then a large triangle and then a smaller triangle....what?!? LOL It was a hoot! At least we got him to participate because he objected for a good half hour before we coaxed him up to the white board! It was a great evening! And after everyone left got into our new pajama's and left cookies for Santa and Carrots for his reindeer and went to bed!

Our House is built with Gingerbread!

Kaylynn entertaining Madison who sat and watched with amusement as we tried to keep the house in an upright position!
Kaylynn, The Mastermind and Chief Decorator on the project.
Nana, the second in command! Us girls had a fun time making the gingerbread house while the boys played Playstation 3!

Christmas Dresses

Our little sweethearts on Christmas Sunday! Not the best picture but we were running late to church and so here it is.

Okay, I admit it...

I am way behind!  Christmas was over a month ago and I have yet to post it!  Decemeber is so hectic! So I thought I would just do a quick post  with pictures that I already have on my computer!  Don't worry, Christmas will get posted...hopefully this week...but I make no promises!
Well, the fish saga has come to an end... All our fish died in November.  It was a sad day when Kaylynn realized there were no fish in her tank.  (It actually took her a few days to figure it out) Anyway, there sat this sad fish tank until the end of the semester when Chad promised he would clean it out (apparently the fish died because of a bacteria) and then we could get new fish. And then December happened...and you know how that goes! Kaylynn has asked to get new fish about two to three times a week for the last two months! So this week we finally got some new fishy friends! Kaylynn has 5 lil fish, three of which she has so lovingly named Belle, Beast and Foxy.  I am not getting too attatched because we have a hard time keeping fish alive...I figure as long as I keep the fish that I actually gave birth too alive-I'm good!
Here's a cute picture of our lil Madison.  She is so fun to watch! She has a serious fascination with her hands. She just watches them as she wiggles them! So cute!

Kaylynn's Tinkerbell Birthday Party!

We had a birthday party with our family for Kaylynn.  She picked a Tinkerbell theme and we had a fabulous fun time!
Mom and I made the Tinkerbell cake.  It was so cool!
Singing to the sepcial birthday girl!
Kaylynn opening presents.

Three Year Olds ar SOOOO Cool!

Happy Birthday Kaylynn!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, this little girl is so spoiled! Nana and Papa got her the coolest doll house ever!  I want to be a little girl again! Oh I guess I will just play with this one!
I went through my old toys and gave her some of the nicer Barbies I have kept.  Don't you just love the nineties outfits...AWESOME!
We made cupcakes for her actual birthday and the cake for her party.  Kaylynn had a wonderful birthday!

How many adults does it take?

The night before Kaylynn's third birthday Chad was studying for his last final.  And my mom, dad and I were making it rather difficult because we were trying to build the dollhouse my parents got for Kaylynn!

Moving the Dollhouse to Ben's room for safe keeping until the unveiling the next day!

Look how cool I am!!!

On Madison's four month birthday she ate rice cereal for the first time!  Yummy!

The Girls Checkups

So I know that I have yet to post Kaylynn's birthday, Christmas and New Years but this post didn't require downloading pictures so it gets to go first! We took the girls in for their 3 year and 4 month checkups.  They are healthy and doing great!  These two girls could not be more different, I have to wonder if they share any genes at all! lol  Kaylynn is still small.  She weighs 32 pounds and is 36 inches tall which puts her in the 25th percentile in both height and weight.  Madison weighs 14 pounds and 7 ounces and is 26 inches tall, that makes her in the 75th percentile for height and 50th percentile for wieght.  And her head has caught up to the rest of her body at the 45th percentile.  Madison has a tooth about to come in!  But Kaylynn didn't get her first tooth until she was 10 months old! Kaylynn has a lot of my personality (we are both a little bit more high maintenace) and Madison is so much like her daddy (very laid back, go with the flow).  But they are both beautiful precious girls!
